Each quarter, CVS gives you 2% of what you spend out of pocket back in the form of Extra Care Bucks. For example, if you spend $100 out of pocket for the quarter, you will get back $2.00 in Extra Care Bucks that will automatically print when you scan your card at the red coupon machine. The current quarter is the "summer quarter" and ends on September 15. Your Extra Bucks that you earn from purchases will print out starting October 1. The next quarter is the "fall quarter" and will run from September 16 to December 15. The promotional 4% earnings will print for you on January 1 of 2014.
Your earned Extra Care Bucks from quarterly spending are available to print up to 45 days after the start date. For example, October 1 will be the first day, therefore you have until November 14 to print these at the red coupon machine and from the day of printing, you have 45 days until the Extra Care Bucks expire.
