CVS Trip ~ Saved $70.03, Spent $5.50 out of pocket

Yesterday's CVS trip was probably the best. Although, I did say that last week. ;) I paid $5.50 in cash and received $17.00 in Extra Care Bucks back! I am saying this because I've been doing this coupon thing for about 1.5 years now and I'm finally getting the hang of spending as little as possible to get the best savings! :) It takes time but you, too will figure it out.  Hopefully it won't take you as long to get it figured out. LOL

Here's how the trip went. I had a friend go in with me on the first transaction. Because, who needs 30 boxes of tissues? And, I couldn't print enough coupons to do the deal alone. ;)

Transaction #1:

• (30) boxes of Kleenex @ $0.99 each (Less (10) $2.00/3 Printable CVS Coupons, good for Kleenex) = $9.70
• (2) Loreal Shampoo/Conditioners @ $1.27 each (Less (2) $2.00/1 Loreal Advanced Product - was hoping for overage but they adjusted it to $2.54) = FREE

Total before Coupons = $32.24

Less Coupons = $22.54

Paid $10.50 out of pocket (divided by two because I went in with a friend)

Received $10.00 Extra Care Bucks 

Transaction #2:

• (2) Stride Gum @ 2/ $2.00 (Less $1.00 MFG Coupon) = $1.00, Received $1.00 ECB back
• (1) Xtra Laundry Detergent @ $1.99 (Less $1.00 CVS coupon from machine) = $0.99
• (6) Colgate Toothpaste @ $1.99 each = $11.94 (Less (3) $0.75 MFG Coupons + $2.00/$8.00 CVS coupon for toothpaste or toothbrush purchase) = $7.69, Received $6.00 ECB back
• (2) Tums $0.99 each @ B1G1 1/2 off = $1.48 (Less CVS Coupon for $2.00 off any stomach/digestive purchase) = FREE + $0.52 overage
• (1) Dermasilk Wrinkle Eraser Pen @ $19.49 (Less $10.00/1 Coupon) =  $9.49, Received $10.00 ECB back
• (3) Garnier Fructis Shampoo @ $0.99 each (Less 3 $1.00/coupons) = FREE + $0.03 overage

Total before Coupons = $39.87

Less 20% off coupon (Less $4.50)

Less all other coupons, including $10.00 ECB from last time = (Less $35.22)

Paid $0.25 out of pocket

Received $17.00 Extra Care Bucks
